This Fit All round cord protector guards the power cord where it exits the vacuum housing, the spot most prone to fraying, kinking, and eventual electrical failure. Acting as a strain relief, it cushions the cable against the sharp bending and tugging that happens every time the machine is moved or the cord is yanked from an outlet.
The round profile slips over the cord and seats at the cord exit point, distributing stress over a wider area so the wire jacket lasts longer. It is a small, inexpensive part that prevents a far bigger repair by keeping the cord from cracking at its weakest point.
