SEBO Complete Front Bottom Plate for AUTOMATIC X1 and X4 — Gray Black

The forward section of the sole plate takes the punishment on an upright, and on the SEBO AUTOMATIC X1, X4 and X4 Boost that section is 5411GS, listed complete in gray black.

Plates like this are meant to wear, and their condition is a fair record of the floors a machine has crossed. Grit scores the underside, thresholds and stair noses knock the corners off, and in time the moulding splits through. From that point the nozzle no longer lies flat to the floor. Some of the air the fan is pulling arrives through the break instead of up through the carpet, so the pressure difference the roll works with never properly forms, and cleaning falls off without anything looking obviously wrong. A cracked plate with a sharp edge is also perfectly capable of scoring a hardwood or vinyl floor, which is usually the point at which it stops being tolerated.

Fitting is done with the machine turned over and unplugged, and that makes it the right moment to look at everything else in the same region. For these three machines the rear section is 5412GS, the sealing strip is 5400-1, the pile adjustment wheel is 5174GS and its rubbing plate is 5155GS. A tired strip left behind a brand new plate cancels out much of what has just been gained.
