Part B283-0030 is the lower cord hook for the Fuller Brush FB-JFM upright vacuum. It is the lower of the two cord storage points on the back of the machine, holding the bottom wrap of the power cord when the cord is stowed for transport or storage.
Hooks in this position break where they meet the housing, usually because the cord gets pulled off sideways in a hurry instead of unwound. Once the lower hook is gone the cord will not stay wrapped at all, which is how power cords end up under a running brushroll.
