A handle that drifts out of its set angle mid-job is a catch problem rather than a hinge problem. SEBO supplies 51110ER as the lock catch complete with its spring, finished in gray black, and lists it at position 28 on the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 drawing.
The positive feel comes from the spring, and springs tire sooner than the plastic around them. What starts as a handle that needs a firmer push to lock becomes one that will not stay upright when the machine is parked, and then one that releases on its own halfway through a room. Taking the assembly rather than a bare catch body means the mechanism goes back together with fresh tension as well as a fresh moulding, so the handle locks where you leave it and releases when you ask it to.
