SEBO Bag Holder Safety Catc...

Product details
Behind the main latch sits a second, smaller restraint, and part 1817 is that piece. The safety catch pins the bag holder in position on the SEBO Essential G4, Essential G5, 370 Comfort and Electronic 370.
Nothing dramatic happens the day it breaks. The vacuum still runs, the bag still fills, and the backup restraint is simply gone. From then on a knock or a heavy bag can let the holder shift out of true, which is enough to break the seal the bag collar depends on — and a collar that is not square against the intake neck lets dust take the short route past the bag instead of into it. That is the sequence worth heading off, because by the time anyone notices grey dust inside the compartment, it has usually been going on for months.
It is a small, quick fit and is sold individually, so it is a sensible thing to have on hand alongside a bag order.
- Function: secondary catch retaining the bag holder
- Fits: SEBO Essential G4, Essential G5, 370 Comfort and Electronic 370
- Supplied: individually
- Part number: 1817
- Related parts: complete bag holder 1847, which is supplied with the safety catch and spring already fitted, and bag housing locking rod 1811 for the 370 machines
It is also a part that goes missing rather than breaking. A small catch dropped during a bag change in poor light is rarely found, and the machine keeps working well enough afterwards that nobody thinks to replace it. Ordering one to sit in the spares drawer alongside a bag order takes moments and saves the search later.
Genuine SEBO through an authorized dealership, normally shipping in 2–5 business days. If the holder assembly has already worked loose, order the catch alongside the holder itself rather than fitting a new catch to a warped mount and hoping. Check that the bag collar seats flat and square once everything is back together, since that is the only real proof the repair has worked.
