SEBO builds two handle systems into the FELIX range and each takes its own tube. Part 7081ER is the one specified for the adjustable-handle machines, drawn at item 11 of the FELIX exploded diagram, and it will not stand in for the fixed tube used on the non-adjusting design.
Every component above the body locates on this single tube. The grip clamps to it, the release button sits at the top of it, and the wiring loom runs up the inside, so any deviation in the tube propagates outward. A handle that has stopped sitting level, a grip that rocks when weight goes on it, or an adjustment that grips halfway along its travel and then frees off again are all symptoms of the same underlying problem. Falls cause most of it; the rest comes from vacuums being dragged through doorways by the handle instead of being picked up. Once the tube itself is no longer straight, nothing achieved by tightening the clamps around it will restore the alignment, because the reference surface has moved.
Neighbouring numbers on the same drawing are worth noting before you strip the handle down. The internal wiring is part 7071 at item 3, the complete handle is 7164WE at item 21 for the arctic white machines, and the handle release button is drawn at item 25. An impact hard enough to bend a tube usually leaves marks elsewhere, so inspect the bag housing cover, part 7093WE in white, and the exhaust filter cover at item 17 for hairline cracks during the same strip.
