The WindTunnel Max takes a 15 inch brush roll, and this is the complete assembly for it, part H902. It arrives as a finished roller with bristles and end caps, so nothing has to be transferred over from the old one.

Bristles are the whole point of the part and the first thing to go. They flatten and splay outward, lose the stiffness that flicks dirt up out of the pile, and the machine quietly turns into something that cleans the surface of a carpet and nothing below it. Hair wound at the ends adds drag the belt pays for, and can seize a bearing outright.

It is listed for the Hoover UH30600, UH70600, UH70601, UH70602, UH70607, UH70608, UH70700 and UH72600, and for the Royal Pro Series UR30090. Pull the wrapped hair off the old roller ends as you go, and look at the belt while you are in there.
