The handle screw package for Hoover UH71003, UH71009 and UH71011 uprights, part 410121001. It supplies the screws that hold the handle and upper body together, at the right thread and the right length.
Handle screws go missing during a belt change or a brush roll clean, and the temptation is to make up the difference from a jar in the garage. It rarely ends well. A screw a few millimetres too long bottoms out and cracks the boss it is driven into, and one with the wrong thread pitch cuts a new thread the first time it goes in, so nothing holds properly after that.
Missing or stripped hardware shows up as a handle that rattles and flexes as you push, and it worsens quickly, because every loose fastener loads the ones still doing their job. Snug them evenly and stop when they seat.
