This black hose clamp (Part #36171044) is a replacement clamp that secures the attachment-hose connection on the Hoover WindTunnel upright and several related machines. It tightens around the hose joint to hold an airtight seal at the connection point.
A loose or missing clamp lets air leak where the hose meets the body, which bleeds off suction during above-floor cleaning with the tools. Snugging a fresh clamp over the joint closes that leak and returns full airflow through the hose.
