SEBO Internal Cable for AIR...

Product details

Power that comes and goes on an AIRBELT D4 — a canister dropping out when the body is knocked, or one that will not start at all until the housing gets a flex — is the signature of a lead failing inside. 8160 replaces that lead on the D4 Premium, and it is given as item 49 of the AIRBELT D parts diagram.

The cable runs current between components within the canister body. Its route takes it past heat, and it is bent a fraction further each time the shell comes apart for service. Copper strands break inside insulation that still looks perfect from outside, while crimped terminals ease off over years of running warm. Neither problem is visible, and both produce the same maddening pattern: a machine that behaves on the bench and fails on the floor.

Where else this number appears is worth knowing. The wired hose neck for this machine, 8079ER at item 31, is supplied with 8160 as its loom, so this cable is what that assembly is built around. Where the collar is sound and only the electrical side has failed, ordering the cable by itself is the smaller repair. Keep it distinct from 8091AM at item 8, the internal cable set that brings the thermal cut-out with it; that is the number most often confused with this one, and the two are not alternatives.

  • Order code: 8160
  • Machine: AIRBELT D4 Premium
  • Drawing reference: AIRBELT D sheet, item 49
  • Does: feeds current from one internal component to the next within the canister shell
  • Packed inside: wired hose neck 8079ER
  • Not the same as: internal cable set 8091AM, which includes the thermal cut-out

Unplug the machine, photograph the routing, and note which terminal each end was on before anything is pulled apart. People look for this as a SEBO D4 internal cable, an AIRBELT D internal wire or a D4 Premium wiring lead. Genuine SEBO cable from an authorized dealership, travelling within 2-5 business days.
