Product details

Johnny Vac sells the Silenzio Turbo Team, model SLNZ1000, as a matched pair rather than a bare canister: the quiet-running Silenzio motor unit bundled with a Wessel-Werk air-driven turbo nozzle built for carpet work. Two pieces sold together, not an upsell added at checkout.

A turbo nozzle has no motor of its own inside the head. Air pulled through by the canister's own suction spins a small internal turbine, and that turbine drives the brush roll, so agitation on carpet comes from the vacuum's airflow rather than a separate electrical connection. Roll the same nozzle onto a hard floor or a rug edge and the drop in resistance slows the turbine, so the brush eases off and the nozzle runs effectively as a straight-suction head.

That is the entire premise behind the Turbo Team name: match a quiet Silenzio canister to a turbo-driven nozzle. A canister-only Silenzio is built for quiet, straight-suction cleaning on hard floors; bolting on the turbo nozzle extends the same machine onto carpet and area rugs without the extra weight, cost, or noise of a full electric power nozzle. Filtration runs through a HEPA bag backed by HEPA-grade media, the setup usually recommended when someone in the household deals with allergies. It suits a home with a mix of flooring types looking for one canister that handles both reasonably well, rather than owning a second machine just for carpet.

  • Model: SLNZ1000, Silenzio Turbo Team
  • Configuration: Silenzio canister plus Wessel-Werk air-driven turbo nozzle, sold as a set
  • Filtration: HEPA bag with HEPA-grade media
  • Nozzle drive: Brush roll spins from vacuum airflow, no motor in the nozzle head
  • Best suited for: Mixed hard-floor and carpet homes wanting one canister for both

Because the turbo nozzle depends on airflow rather than its own motor, a clogged hose or a nearly full bag tends to show up first as a brush roll that slows or stops turning, well before suction at the floor noticeably weakens. If the nozzle stalls, checking the airpath for a blockage is the sensible first step, ahead of assuming a mechanical fault in the nozzle itself.
