Original rug plate with gasket for vintage Kirby upright vacuum cleaners, Kirby part #513. This metal plate mounts to the underside of the nozzle and, together with its sealing gasket, sets the proper nozzle-to-floor clearance for deep carpet agitation and a tight airflow seal.
This rug plate fits the long run of classic Kirby models from the 513 through the D80 generation. A worn plate or hardened gasket lets air leak and reduces carpet cleaning performance; this assembly restores the original seal and brush height. (Part #154456S)
