Part 191884 is the black bag top cover for the Kirby Heritage II, and it is also listed for the Heritage II Legend. It caps the outer bag and holds it shut at the top of the machine.
What you notice when it fails is dust: a thin film on the furniture the vacuum has just passed, a dirty smell from the top of the bag, and grit collecting on the shoulder of the machine. Look closely and the cover will usually be cracked at a latch point or bowed enough that the bag mouth no longer sits flat.
The black cover belongs to the Heritage II; the earlier Heritage I used a gray one, so match the color to the machine when you order.
