The grey foot pedal on a Kirby Ultimate G or Diamond Edition is what lets you start and stop the machine without bending down, and it takes a press every time the vacuum is used. Part 110301 is the light grey pedal for those two uprights.
Pedals crack across the hinge or go stiff and sticky with age. When that happens the vacuum can stay running after you step off it, refuse to switch on until you stamp on it, or shut down mid-pass. None of that is the motor or the switch itself; it is usually the pedal that has given up.
The replacement seats on the original mounting points, so the job is a straight swap once the vacuum is unplugged. Check whether your Kirby is an Ultimate G or a Diamond Edition before ordering, as the pedal is specific to that pair.
