Kirby Headlight Bulb - 25 W...

Product details

Part 32-7600-02 drops into the headlight socket found in the nozzle hood of an upright vacuum, a universal guide-light bulb rated at 25 watts. On older Kirby machines a dark headlight almost always comes back to this small bulb rather than a wiring fault, and losing that light noticeably slows finding debris across a dim floor.

Fitment records tie it to the Dual Sanitronic pair, models 50 and 80, plus the older 505 and the Classic I CR. It is built to the same standard as a general fit-all guide light rather than a design exclusive to Kirby, so it also serves other older uprights sharing that same bulb socket.

The failure pattern here is about as easy to read as vacuum problems get: the light goes out while every other function on the machine keeps working normally. Check this bulb before tracing the wiring harness or the power switch, since a burned-out filament explains the vast majority of cases and costs almost nothing to verify.

Let the old bulb cool before touching it, since a headlight sits in an enclosed hood and holds its heat for a while after the machine is switched off. With the bulb out, look at the socket contacts before fitting the new one: a contact that is dirty or bent out of position will make a perfectly good bulb look dead, and it is the one thing worth checking while access is easy.

  • Part: 32-7600-02
  • Rating: universal guide light, 25 watts
  • Fits: Kirby 505, Classic I CR, Dual Sanitronic 50, Dual Sanitronic 80, and other machines using the same fit-all bulb
  • Symptom: headlight dark while the vacuum otherwise runs normally
