Product details
Part 108597 is the headlight lens, the bulb cover, used on later Kirby Generation machines. It fits the Kirby Generation 5 and G Six, the Ultimate G, and the Diamond Edition.
The lens sits directly in front of the lamp on the power drive unit, which puts it exactly where a Kirby makes contact with furniture legs and door frames. Cracked, hazed, or missing lenses are common on machines of this age, and a clouded one dims the beam enough that the headlight stops being useful under beds and along edges.
Replacing it takes a couple of minutes and needs no tools beyond a little care with the bulb behind it. Check your model before ordering, since the Generation 3 and G4 machines use a different lens and a later cover will not seat correctly on the earlier nose casting.
