This rear wheel, part 556212, is the one fitted to the Kirby Sentria II. It runs on the rear axle and takes the weight of the machine, so it does more work than its size suggests: every push, pivot and lift over a threshold goes through it.
The symptoms of a worn wheel are all about feel. The vacuum drags rather than rolls, wanders off line, or thumps once per revolution where the tyre has flat-spotted. A crack around the hub is worth catching early, because a wheel that splits under load leaves the base sitting on the carpet.
Fits the Kirby Sentria II, and is also listed as K-556212. Replacing both rear wheels together keeps the machine sitting level.
