This replacement swivel grip fits Electrolux 1205 and LE Series canister vacuums and is stocked as part 4400A.

The grip sits at the top of the hose handle and rotates, which is the whole point of it: the wand can turn as you work around furniture without the hose winding up behind you. That rotation is also what wears it out. Grit works into the swivel, the moulding cracks where it is gripped hardest, and eventually the joint either seizes or goes so loose that it flops.

Either way the machine becomes a nuisance to steer, and a seized swivel puts a twisting load on the hose itself that shortens its life. A new grip restores free rotation and a solid, comfortable hold. Clean any debris out of the swivel seat while you have the old one off.
