Product details

Part 1190 is a 2-inch, 45-degree metal elbow for central vacuum piping, used wherever a line has to bend gradually instead of turning through a hard right angle. It ties into standard 2-inch central vacuum pipe and forms a solvent-welded, airtight joint once cemented into the run.

A 45-degree bend is easier on airflow than a 90-degree turn, which is why installers reach for it whenever the layout allows, sometimes pairing two 45s to cover a direction change that a single 90 would otherwise have to make more abruptly in a tight space. Metal holds up better than plastic at this kind of turn specifically, since debris moving through the line hits hardest where the airflow direction changes, and years of that abrasion can wear through a plastic elbow from the inside.

This is a standard 2-inch central vacuum fitting rather than one built to a documented brand or model list, so it suits H-P Products piping and other systems built on the same pipe size across the industry. Bond the joint with PVC cement and give it time to cure fully before the line is pressurized and put back into service.

  • Part: 1190
  • Size: 2 inch
  • Angle: 45 degrees
  • Construction: metal, solvent-weld connection

On a new built-in rough-in or a repair to a damaged pipe section, correct fitting installation at every turn is what keeps suction consistent at each inlet down the line. Pair two of these elbows where a run needs to offset around an obstruction, rather than forcing a single 90-degree turn through the same space.
