This 16-inch metal brush roll is a replacement for the Eureka VGII and agitates carpet fibers to loosen embedded dirt and debris. The metal core carries the bristle strips that sweep debris toward the suction path.
A worn brush roll with frayed or shortened bristles cannot clean carpet effectively, leaving grit behind in the pile. Wrapped hair and uneven bristle wear are common culprits. Installing a fresh roll returns full agitation and pickup.
