Product details
Fault-finding a 370 COMFORT that has lost brush power tends to end at this component. Part 0897ER is the SEBO micro safety switch supplied with the lead that runs back to the circuit board already attached, so a single order covers both the switch and the wiring that so often fails alongside it.
The switch reports the position of the machine to the control board, and the board decides from that signal whether the agitator may run. When the contacts pit or the operating lever wears down, the board never receives the signal, and the brush either stays dead or cycles at random as the handle moves through its arc. Replacing switch and lead together clears both suspects in one pass instead of stripping the same machine twice. Fits the SEBO 370 COMFORT.
- Part number: SEBO 0897ER, micro safety switch with wiring
- Fits: SEBO 370 COMFORT
- Supplied as: micro switch with its wiring terminated to the PCB end
- Replace when: the brush will not start, or cuts in and out as the handle is reclined
- Function: reports machine position to the control board, which gates the agitator motor
- Advantage of the assembly: switch and its PCB lead renewed together, rather than one at a time
- Related: 0895AM, the suction neck loom on the same machine
Check the belt and clear the roller of hair before ordering, because a jammed agitator produces the same complaint as a failed interlock and takes a minute to eliminate. Disconnect from the outlet before opening the machine and note which terminal each wire occupies as it comes off. With the new switch in place, run the handle through its full travel and confirm the brush starts and stops where it should before the housing goes back together.
Genuine SEBO micro safety switch for the 370 COMFORT, ships in 2–5 business days.
