This natural-bristle dusting brush is the head that pairs with Simplicity's C355-1214 upholstery tool, sold separately. Riccar and Simplicity list it for the Radiance, Brilliance, Synergy and Synchrony uprights, and it also cross-references to the Maytag M1200.

Animal-hair bristles are the softer option for shelving, window blinds, lampshades and painted woodwork, surfaces where a stiff synthetic brush risks a scuff or a scratch.

The bristles flatten and splay well ahead of the tool body wearing out, which is the reason it is sold as a standalone part instead of a full tool replacement. Riccar and Simplicity both catalogue the brush under the same number, C355-1314B, so it is one part whichever of the two badges is on the machine. Run a fingertip across the tips before buying a new one; bristles gone soft and splayed sideways rather than standing up mean the brush has stopped doing its job even if it still looks fine from across the room.
