This is the rear grip from the handle of an Oreck Conquer upright, part 430000951, which Oreck also numbers 330A00174. It is listed for the UK30205 Conquer and for the UK30300 and UK30300COM.
The grip is the surface your hand actually sits on, and it wears where you would expect: the texture polishes smooth, the material splits along a seam, and on a machine that has been in daily use the grip can start to turn on the tube underneath it. A grip that moves is more than an annoyance, because the machine no longer goes precisely where you push it.
