Product details
Here is the G1 build of the shell: part 2831AM, the gray-black cover that caps the power head on a SEBO ESSENTIAL G1 and keeps its internals in line. SEBO supplies it complete rather than as a bare moulding, and it is specific to that model.
A cover does structural work on an upright head, which is why a crack across a screw boss is not something to tape over. The shell loses its grip on the parts beneath it, the head starts to flex under load, and alignment drifts far enough to chew through a belt. What owners see first is usually a belt that fails repeatedly for no visible reason, or a brush that has begun wearing heavier at one end. Replacing the cover is a screwdriver job, provided every fastener goes back into the hole it came out of.
Note where each screw and clip belongs before lifting the damaged shell, and use the opportunity to service what sits underneath. The 12 inch brush roller is 5010AM, or 5010GE in soft bristle, and it releases with catch 5713GS; bearing blocks 5031HG and 5766HG carry its ends; belt 5463 runs from the motor to the sensor and belt 5110 from the sensor to the bearing block. If the frame itself is cracked rather than just the shell, chassis 2821HG is the part to order instead, with base panels 5411HG at the front and 2829HG at the rear.
