The power head cover is the top shell of the floor head on the SEBO ESSENTIAL G5, and it is the panel that meets every door frame, chair leg and stair riser the machine is pushed past. A split or gouged shell leaves the belt, the drive gears and the internal leads open to the grit that should never get near them. Part 2832AM2 is the replacement molding in SEBO's gray black finish, and it arrives as one complete cover rather than a handful of clips and trim strips to salvage off the old one.

Mechanically it does more than tidy the top of the head. The cover holds the head's shape under load, carries the screw bosses that pull the assembly together, and closes the brush compartment so airflow stays inside the channel instead of leaking out through a cracked seam. SEBO indexes it at position 100 on the parts drawing for this power head, and 2832AM2 is the number listed there for the ESSENTIAL G5 in gray black. The usual reasons to order one are a cracked or crazed shell, a corner broken away from a screw boss, or a cover that no longer sits down flat and buzzes against the chassis as the machine runs.

Fitting is a single-piece job with the head laid on its back: back out the fasteners, lift the damaged shell clear, then bring the new cover down evenly so every clip engages before any screw is run home. With the head open it is worth looking over the rest of the assembly — brush roller release 2843GS is finished in the same gray black, the 15 inch brush roller is stocked as 2838AM with a soft-bristle version in 2838GE, and screws 0103 and 0104 are available singly or in ten packs if any come out tired.
