SEBO Pre-Motor Microfilter for 370 Series

Part 1875 is the standard pre-motor microfilter for SEBO's 370 series. Finer than a plain motor-protection pad, it screens the air once it has left the bag so that small particles neither reach the motor windings nor carry on into the exhaust path behind them.

Fits the SEBO 370 Comfort and the ELECTRONIC 370. It lives behind the bag chamber, comes out by hand and goes back the same way, which makes it a natural thing to deal with while the machine is already open. Most owners time it to a bag change rather than to a calendar: take the pad out, hold it up to the light, and if the whole face has gone gray instead of lightly dusted it has done the job it was fitted to do.

The pre-motor stage is where an upright quietly loses its edge. A clogged pad restricts the entire airflow path, so the head stops lifting what the brush roll has loosened and the motor runs hotter for less work. Neither shows up as a fault, only as a machine that is not quite what it was.

Fitting takes seconds and needs no tools. Open the bag compartment, lift the old pad clear, drop the new one into the same recess the right way up and close the cover. Doing it at the same time as the bag change is how it gets done at all, because a filter that has to be remembered separately generally is not.
