ProTeam part 834740 is the 40-foot power cord for new-style ProGen uprights, verified for the ProGen 12. Forty feet of reach is what lets one operator clear a hallway or an open office from a single outlet, so a failing cord slows the whole job down, not just the machine.
The failure is rarely dramatic. The jacket scuffs through where the cord drags over thresholds, the strain relief loosens from being yanked sideways off the wrap hooks, and the upright starts cutting out whenever the cord flexes near the plug or the machine end. Any nick that shows conductor means the cord is done.
Note the length before ordering: this is the 40-foot cord, and the 50-foot version is a separate part number. It fits the new-style ProGen cord mount, so check which style your machine uses. Unplug fully before swapping, and route the new cord along the original path so the housing does not pinch it.
