ProTeam Swivel Long Proclea...

Product details

At five and a quarter inches, this is the long version of the swivel hose cuff for ProTeam's canister line, part 103150, the fitting that connects the hose to the machine's inlet and lets the hose turn freely without twisting.

Fits the ProTeam ProVac CN, RunningVac, QuietPro CN, and ProClean.

The swivel is a wear point because it is in constant motion any time the hose is in use. Once it stiffens, the hose stops turning with the operator's hand and instead twists along its own length, shortening the working life of the hose itself well before the cuff is the part that finally needs replacing. A cracked cuff or a hardened seal around the inlet is a second failure mode, and it often shows up first as pickup that has faded on a canister with nothing else obviously wrong, since air pulled in at the inlet never makes it to the tool end of the hose. Because the leak happens right at the machine rather than out at the wand, it is easy to overlook during a quick inspection that focuses on the hose and tool instead of the connection between them.

  • Part: 103150
  • Length: 5-1/4 inches, the long cuff option
  • Fits: ProTeam ProVac CN, RunningVac, QuietPro CN, ProClean
  • Symptom: hose twisting instead of turning, or pickup that has faded with no other cause

Check the inlet seal at the same time as the swivel itself, since a cuff can turn freely and still leak if the gasket at its base has gone hard. Wipe the mating surfaces clean before fitting the new cuff so the seal has a proper surface to grip against.
