SEBO divides the sole plate of an AUTOMATIC X1, X4 or X4 Boost into two sections, and 5412GS is the one lying behind the roll, listed complete in gray black. The AUTOMATIC X4 drawing gives it item 135, with items 136 and 139 counted as part of it.
Both inclusions are worth knowing about. Item 136 is the sealing strip, catalogued separately as 5400-1, and item 139 is the M4 x 12 screw, catalogued as 0197. The section therefore arrives with the strip that seals it and the fastener that holds it, so nothing needs rescuing from the broken one. The strip is where sealing actually happens: this panel forms the rear wall of the nozzle chamber, and the strip along its edge decides whether that chamber holds a pressure difference or simply draws air in from behind.
Where the panel has split, or a mounting point has torn away, the roll ends up working in a chamber that cannot develop the airflow it was designed around. Symptoms present as general feebleness rather than as a fault: carpet wanting a second pass, a bag filling more slowly than the state of the floor suggests it should. Renewing the section complete, with a fresh strip along it, settles both halves of that in one go. The forward section for the same three machines is 5411GS.
