This is the genuine Rexair Bottom Plate with front wheel cutout (Part #R11706), the underside cover for the Rainbow E series power nozzle. Rexair builds the Rainbow vacuum, and this plate fastens to the base of the power head to enclose the brush-roll chamber. The molded front wheel cutout clears the leading wheel so the nozzle rolls smoothly across floors. It supersedes the earlier part #R7806.
A cracked or warped bottom plate can cause poor floor sealing, weak suction at the nozzle, or a rattling, dragging power head. Replacing it restores a flat, sealed underside and the correct clearance around the brush roll.
