Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

The Riccar and Simplicity R10P runs a ribbed poly-V belt rather than a flat one, and part B014-1200 is that belt, sized to match its pulleys.
Multiple small ribs running the length of a poly-V belt give it more surface contact than a flat belt of the same width, so it typically holds its grip through more hours of use before slipping becomes a problem. It is not immune to wear, though, and a rib surface that has gone shiny or smooth transmits noticeably less power than one still showing texture, well before the belt has visibly stretched.
Once grip does go, the result looks like any other belt failure: the roller turns too slowly to lift carpet pile properly, or stops turning altogether, even while suction at the hose reads unchanged.

Fitting the replacement is no different from any other drive belt in this class, provided the old one comes away cleanly. Double-check that your machine reads R10P on its data plate before placing an order, and while the old belt is out, compare it against the new one for width and rib count rather than trusting the two to look alike at a glance.
