SEBO Attachment Cover for C2.1 — Red

On a red SEBO C2.1 the tool compartment is closed by 6383AM. The panel hinges open for the crevice tool and the dusting brush and snaps back level with the surrounding bodywork when it is shut.

Most of these are ordered because a hinge lug has broken, a few because the original faded next to the rest of the trim, and a surprising number because the panel disappeared during a house move. Whatever removed it, an open bay means the tools work themselves loose as the canister is towed along, and grit settles on them between jobs. The replacement locates on exactly the same pivot points as the factory panel and is a fit-by-hand job.

Two parts inside the assembly are ordered separately and are worth diagnosing before the order goes in. Spring 6045 is what SEBO lists behind this cover; attachment clips come in threes as 6117ER. A panel that latches correctly while the tools still rattle is a clip fault. A panel that will not stay shut although the catch is undamaged points at the spring instead.
