SEBO Exhaust Filter Cover for AIRBELT E3 Premium - Pastel Mint

The clips are what give out on this panel. Ten years of warm exhaust leave the moulding harder and less forgiving than it was new, and a lug tends to let go part way through an otherwise ordinary filter change. Part 8249CMER is the replacement in pastel mint for the AIRBELT E3 Premium.

With the panel loose, the exhaust filter no longer sits clamped flat into its recess. Air leaving the motor takes whatever route is easiest, and once a gap has opened at the edge of the media some of it goes around rather than through. The tell is a fine grey film returning to skirting boards and shelves near wherever the canister is parked, while suction at the floor head stays entirely normal. Nothing else in the machine needs to be wrong for that to happen, and no warning light marks it.

Fit a sound panel and the firm snap that keeps the media seated comes back with it. This is an outside repair, so it opens nothing beyond what a filter change already opens and is over inside a minute.

SEBO's AIRBELT E schematic records the exhaust air filter panel as item 4, and the sheet carries the dark blue, red, white, black and gray black versions of that row rather than the pastel ones. A mint machine is therefore matched by colour name instead of by the diagram illustration. Bear in mind too that item 24 on the same sheet is also described as a filter cover, an 8224 series part over the bag compartment, and it is the wrong thing to order if what has broken is the outgoing-air panel.
