Sirena Water Separator with...

Product details
The separator sits at the base of the motor on a Sirena S10NA water-filtration canister and does the actual filtering work: incoming air spins through the water basin, and centrifugal force flings dirt and debris into the water while clean air continues on toward the motor. It spins every time the machine runs, which makes it a wear part rather than something that lasts the life of the canister.
Three signs point to a worn separator. Suction falls off even though the hose, wand, and water basin are all clear. A rattle or whine shows up that wasn't there before. And once the tank is open, the separator body itself shows visible pitting, a chipped edge, or a warped rim. An out-of-round separator does not just spin poorly, it transmits that imbalance straight into the motor bearings, so leaving a worn one in service tends to cost you a set of bearings as well.
This is part 10B for the Sirena S10NA, sold with its mounting nut so the whole assembly goes back together in one step. Seat the separator squarely on its mount and run the nut down firmly and evenly rather than forcing it past resistance, and stop to recheck alignment the moment anything binds.
Sirena's water-basin design means the separator is running in a genuinely wet environment every time the machine is on, a working environment the parts in a dry bag or bagless canister never see. Mineral buildup from tap water can also collect on the separator over time in hard-water areas, so rinsing the basin and the separator itself with clear water periodically helps it spin true for longer between replacements.
