SEBO Switch Lever for DISCO
$6.99
Product details
Vague or sticky switching on a DISCO floor polisher is usually the lever rather than the switch behind it. SEBO 3238 is that lever, drawn at position 15 in the DISCO parts diagram, and it is the piece your foot or hand acts on to make and break the machine's power. The switch does the electrical work; this component is the mechanical link that operates it.
Levers crack at the pivot and lose their detent after thousands of cycles, which leaves the control mushy, stiff at one end of its travel, or stuck part way across so the machine cannot be relied on to stay off. That last state is the one worth taking seriously, because a polisher that is not definitely switched off is a polisher that can start when it is plugged back in. A new lever gives a clean, definite click again and removes any doubt about the position of the control. Unplug the machine before opening it up, and take a moment to check that the switch itself moves freely once the broken lever is out. A stiff switch will break a second lever the same way it broke the first, so the diagnosis is worth confirming before the machine is closed back up.
