SEBO's Swivel Neck for the Essential G1 upright is a genuine OEM steering joint, supplied complete with the 5328OR slider. This is the pivoting connection between handle and base that makes an upright feel nimble, and when it wears or loosens, the whole machine becomes awkward to maneuver.
Beyond poor handling, a compromised swivel neck can strain the internal wiring that passes through the joint, turning a mechanical problem into an electrical one if it is left alone. Replacing the assembly restores clean, controlled steering. As you work, note the routing of any internal cables before disassembly so everything returns to its original path.
