This is the stainless steel telescopic wand for the Plastiflex Chateau, sold as part CH-PL6747-305 and listed in our fitment data as the Plastiflex 1930. Stainless is the reason it lasts, shrugging off the knocks against stair nosings and door frames that leave a lighter wand dented.

A wand that no longer holds its length is the usual complaint. The lock wears, the wand collapses under weight halfway through a room, and you finish the job bent over. Dents are the other one, and a dented tube both binds the sliding section and restricts the air moving through it, so pickup at the floor tool drops off.
