Nothing plugs in here. Moving air alone drives the roller inside 6179ER, spinning a bristle strip against fabric so that hair and grit wound down into the fibres are combed out and taken away. Suction on its own passes over that material without disturbing it; agitation is the part that lifts it. SEBO lists the tool at position 62 on the AUTOMATIC X7/X8 parts drawing.
Stair carpet, sofa cushions, dog bedding and the back seat of a car are its natural ground, and it does the work of a powered head without a cord running down the hose or a motor to fail. The cuff measures 38 mm. On the AIRBELT D4 PREMIUM, the AIRBELT E3 Premium and the AIRBELT K3 PREMIUM the 1777ST extender is needed to bring the brush onto the wand, and a 1 1/4 in. collar is available under 6179CLR where that fitting size is wanted instead.
Keep the roller clear. Long hair and carpet thread wind around the ends of it and eventually stop it turning altogether, at which point the tool is doing nothing a plain upholstery nozzle would not do. Cut the wrap away or use 8366WS, and replace the brush when the bristles have rounded off or the roller no longer spins freely with the machine running.
