Light gray plastic is what marks 1491JE out from the rest of the SEBO upholstery range. The moulding is shared with its darker relatives, so the decision comes down to matching the trim on an ESSENTIAL G machine or a 300/350 mechanical upright rather than to any difference in how the tool behaves on cloth.

The working end is a wide, shallow mouth, and spreading the airflow across that opening is the whole principle of it. A cushion face, a headboard or a dining chair gives up crumbs, sand and shed hair without the fabric being pulled hard into a single point, and finer material comes through without scuff marks. It pushes onto the wand or the hose cuff by hand, which makes it quick to swap for a crevice tool part way round a room.

Nozzles like this get dropped, stood on and dragged over zips and button tufting, and a hairline split at the mouth is enough to spoil one. Air leaks sideways through the crack and the tool loses its grip on the material. If the pull has gone soft on the hose while the bag and filters are known to be clear, look at the lip of the nozzle before suspecting the machine.
