Supplied as a finished assembly rather than a bare rim, part 2614GS is the gray black wheel used on SEBO ET-C power heads. It arrives with the hub already made up, so nothing has to be pressed together on the bench and nothing has to be salvaged off the old wheel.

Wheels take their punishment at thresholds, door tracks and carpet edges, and they collect hair around the hub where it is difficult to see. A flat spot on the tread, a hub that has seized, or a tyre that has stripped shows up as a head that pulls to one side, sits at an angle to the carpet, drags rather than rolls, or leaves marks behind on a hard floor. Any of those means the head is no longer riding on all of its contact points, and the nozzle height goes with it.

Diagnosis is done by hand. With the head turned over and the machine unplugged, spin each wheel in turn and feel for the one that binds, wobbles or has gone out of round; clear packed hair from around the axle first, because a clean wheel can feel like a failed one. Fit the new SEBO wheel, check it turns freely once seated, and look over the belt and roller while the head is upside down.
