Black is the finish to order here. Part 5031SW2 carries the right-hand end of the agitator inside a SEBO AUTOMATIC X4, and it is molded in black to match the darker trim on that machine.
The block holds the right end of the brush roll and lets it spin with as little drag as it can. Wear announces itself first through the ears, as a dry rasp that rises with roll speed, and then through the handle, as a machine that seems to be working harder across carpet than it used to. What is actually happening is that hair and grit have worked past the seal and opened the bore out, so the roll no longer runs true. Fitting a fresh block quiets the head and takes that load back off the motor. Five minutes with the roll out is all the job takes, and the left-hand block, 5766HG, is worth changing at the same visit since it has done the same hours.
Black trim parts for this machine follow the same logic as the block itself, so exhaust filter cover 5711SW, brush roller release 5713SW and power head cover 50783SE are the matching numbers. Brush rollers 5010AM and 5010GE fit, belts 5110 and 5463 drive them, bottom plates are 5411GS at the front and 5412GS at the rear, and 8366WS is the tool for stripping wound hair off the bristles before it reaches the bearing.
