The case drum assembly is the moulded chamber the brush roll spins inside on a Bissell PowerGroom upright, part 2031428. It holds the roll in alignment, forms the top of the suction path over the carpet, and takes the abuse of whatever the brush picks up and throws.
Cracks in the drum, a broken end mount or a warped seam let air into the chamber where it should not be, and the result is a machine that agitates carpet but no longer lifts much off it. A roll that has started to wobble or rub on one side is usually telling you the drum, not the roll, has gone out of shape.
It fits the PowerGroom Pet 4104, the PowerClean 92L3P and 92L3W, the PowerGroom Helix Rewind 98N4, and the PowerGlide Pet 1044.
