Foot window assembly for the Bissell CrossWave, part 1608698, fitting the 1785 multi-surface wet dry vacs, including the 1785A, 1785B, 1785F and 1785G and the numbered variants 17852 through 17859. Colour depends on availability.
The window is the clear panel in the cleaning foot that lets you watch dirty water being drawn off the floor. That is genuinely useful feedback, because it tells you when an area has stopped giving anything up and you can move on. It is also part of the sealed path, so a crack in it costs you suction as well as the view.
Clouding is the other reason people replace it: scratched and hazed by grit, the window stops showing anything and the machine loses its most useful indicator. The assembly fits into the foot as one piece.
