SEBO Cord Entry Grommet for...
$8.00
Product details
Where the mains lead leaves the shell of a canister, a single gray black moulding is doing two jobs at once. That piece is 8059GS on the AIRBELT D1 Turbo and the D4 Premium.
Follow the cord inward and the layout makes sense. It runs off cord rewind unit 665613E inside the machine, is held on its route by internal cable clamp 5266, and passes out to the room through this entry. The moulding flares that exit so the cable curves around a radius instead of over a hard edge, and it grips the outer sheath so a sharp tug is taken by the housing rather than by the terminals inside. Split that moulding, or let it turn loose in its aperture, and the cable begins rubbing on bare plastic - the outer jacket wears through and the conductors below it lose their cover.
That makes it one of the few parts on a vacuum worth changing on appearance alone. A cracked entry is visible from outside the machine, and dealing with it is a far smaller undertaking than replacing a chafed cord, let alone finding the damage the hard way.
