This OEM nut (Part #A732-4300) pairs with the L-bolt on Carpet Pro CPU-series uprights and compatible Fuller Brush models. The nut threads onto the bolt to clamp a bracket or assembly firmly to the machine.
Threads wear and nuts back off under vibration, and a stripped or missing nut lets the bolted joint loosen so the secured part shifts or comes free. Left unaddressed, that plays into further wear. Fitting the correct nut restores full clamping force and a stable, secure joint.
