Product details

CMPS-PF is a filter and frame assembly built for Carpet Pro's commercial upright vacuums. The frame holds the media flat and squared inside its housing, forcing incoming air to pass through the material rather than sneak around its edges.

On equipment that works every day, this part tends to get blamed last even though it is often the real cause of weak pickup. Media loaded with fine dust is the leading reason a commercial upright loses suction, and because this is not a part an operator passes on the way to changing a bag, it can quietly run months past the point it should have been swapped.

  • Part: CMPS-PF, filter with mounting frame
  • Fits: Carpet Pro CMP-3N, CMP-3QD, CMP-3T, CPU-1QD, CPU-2T, CPU-3N, CPU-3QD, CPU-4N, and CPU-4T uprights
  • Function: holds the filter media square in its housing so airflow passes through it, not around it

Check your model number against the plate on the machine before ordering, since a framed filter of roughly the right size is not necessarily the right part for the machine in front of you. A frame that does not sit flush lets air slip past the media at the gap, and that shows up as weak pickup even on a unit with a brand-new filter installed. Folding this check into the same visit as the belt and brush roll inspection, on a machine that covers a route daily, keeps it from becoming the maintenance step that gets skipped when time runs short.
