Part B626-1414B is the tool clip that secures an attachment against the body of a Riccar RSL1 upright, and it also fits the Carpet Pro CMP3QD, CMP3T, CPU3N, and CPU4T, the Maytag M700, and the Titan T4000.2 and TC6000.2.
A clip fails one of two ways: it loosens until it no longer grips, or it breaks outright. Either way the attached tool rides loose and eventually drops off somewhere between one room and the next.
A clip that has loosened only slightly can still hold a light tool such as a dusting brush while letting a heavier one work free, so a clip that seems fine with one attachment is not necessarily fine with every attachment that rides on it.
