SEBO Edge Brush Roller for ...

Product details
Cleaning right out to the edge of the path is what this roller is for. SEBO lists it as 5250, the edge brush roller for the AUTOMATIC X2, AUTOMATIC X5 and AUTOMATIC X8, and it is supplied on its own rather than as half of a pair.
Those machines carry two rollers side by side in the housing, which is why a single number is useful: when only one has worn out there is no reason to buy both. The symptom owners notice first is a narrow band of carpet left untouched along baseboards, under cabinet kicks and around furniture legs, which is what happens once the bristles at that end stop reaching the floor. The edge roller is the one that reaches that far out, so it takes the punishment of every pass along a wall while the inner roller works easier ground, and it is common for it to be the first of the pair to go.
Check two things while the roller is out. Wound hair at the ends binds a roller and loads everything downstream of it, and the belt that turns the rollers on those machines, 5110, is worth a look at the same time — a belt that has stretched or glazed will let a perfectly good roller slip under load. If both rollers have lost bristle height, the matched set for the same machines is 5290AM. A soft-filament edge roller is stocked as 5250GE.
