Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 5442210 is just the cloth shell for Sanitaire 887A dirt-cup uprights, supplied as the cloth shell alone, with none of the frame or hardware bundled into a complete bag assembly, meant for a machine whose frame is still sound but whose fabric has given out.
A cloth shell like this does real filtering work of its own, and its failure modes are subtle compared with an obvious rip. Trapped dust slowly packs the weave until air can barely pass through it, stitched corners can open and let grit slip down the housing without much notice, and over enough years the material itself turns rigid and pale with buildup. None of these three problems gets solved by anything you put inside the shell, since the shell is the part doing the actual filtering.
Coverage runs to the Eureka and Sanitaire SC689A along with the SC877D, SC877E, SC887D, SC887E and SC888G. Since only the cloth ships in this listing, verify beforehand that your existing frame and hardware are in good enough shape to reuse, and give them a once-over for wear at the same time, since a tired frame will cut short the service life of even a brand new shell.
A frame that no longer holds its shell taut allows extra flex during normal use, which speeds up exactly the kind of wear a fresh shell is meant to fix in the first place.
