Hoover part 440007181 is the replacement hose assembly for the Hoover F5831 and F5912 SteamVac carpet cleaners. The hose is what puts the machine's cleaning power in your hand for stairs, upholstery and spots the base cannot reach.
On a carpet cleaner the hose leads a hard life — flexed, stepped on, and stretched around furniture — and it usually fails quietly. Small cracks and splits let air leak in, so pickup at the hand tool fades and the machine leaves stairs and upholstery wetter than it should. If the tool end feels weak while the main unit still sounds strong, the hose is the first suspect.
This assembly swaps in for the original in one piece, restoring a sealed run from the machine to the tool. Check that your SteamVac is an F5831 or F5912 series machine before ordering.
